On Saturday 27 September, NTGent/Beyond the Spoken will be organising a unique fire ritual: Firestarter. A collective moment to welcome a new beginning.
In the run-up to the collective fire ritual, Sídhe and Wilde Wijzevrouw will be organising a Wild Wise Woman Retreat from 25 to 27 August. We, the Wise Women, will also be stepping towards that fire of the new beginning in September. During the retreat in August, we will go within so that we can then, a month later, step out in connection with others. This retreat is the heart of our process: here we will lay the seed for what we will bring out together in September.
We are going to the Flemish Ardennes with twenty women and three guides, for three days of disconnection and special encounters: with nature, with ourselves, with each other. During the retreat we immerse ourselves in the power of rituals: we explore their structure, meaning and form, and prepare step by step for our own role in the great fire ritual. We will stay in a beautiful holiday home with a large indoor area and a fire circle where we can exchange and linger. We will also go outside to seek out nature. There will be room for words and for fun, also for silence and (re)cognition. And of course also with tasty and healthy food - for body, mind and soul.
It will be a special retreat with a unique final chord a month later. Join us for three days of discovery, self-care, exchange, fun and connection. An escapade outside of normal time and space with a fire as its destination. A month later we will come together again, to take our place in the great ritual.

Participation in the Wild Wise Woman Retreat costs 395 euros, including overnight stays and vegetarian meals. You will sleep in a single bed in shared bedrooms for two or three in the Hierberg domain in Nukerke (East Flanders). Curious? Take a look here.
